A New Round of Our “Success with ALUS Projects” Guidebooks Now Available

ALUS Canada launches new booklets to help farmers and ranchers monitor ALUS projects for best success

Monitoring guidebooks

The new round of booklets includes: “Monitoring Wetland & Erosion-Control ALUS Projects,” “Monitoring ALUS Tree & Shrub Projects” and “Monitoring ALUS Grassland Projects: How to monitor grassland projects in ALUS Canada’s Eastern Hub.”

What does success with ALUS projects look like? Check out the new round of our “Success with ALUS Projects” guidebooks, now available thanks to funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF).

While the first series (launched in 2019) focused on how to establish and maintain ALUS projects in ALUS Canada’s Eastern Hub, the new series focuses on how to monitor ALUS wetland projects, erosion-control projects, tree and shrub projects, and grassland projects, for best results.

We hope these booklets help ALUS participants enhance the production of ecosystem services on their agricultural land, as leaders of environmental stewardship in their communities.

ALUS Program Coordinators can get print copies from ALUS Canada’s Eastern Hub Manager (Alyssa Cousineau), and share them with participating farmers and ranchers interested in guidance on monitoring their ALUS projects.

French versions are forthcoming this summer.

Previews are available on ALUS.ca’s Resources page, under “Other Relevant Reports.”
