PEI ALUSSince 2008 the province of Prince Edward Island has been delivering an ALUS program as part of the provincial contribution to the Growing Forward program.

The Provincial government had brought in regulations and ALUS was a nice complement to provide compensation for environmental improvements on their land. The program has been extremely well received by the farm community and has had high uptake from key producers across the island.

Please visit the provincial website for more information.

Help Grow a Healthier Environment!

ALUS is leading cultural change by raising Canadian awareness about the important role farmers can play in building a healthy environment for us all.

Your contribution will support ALUS farmers and ranchers to grow nature's benefits on marginal or ecologically sensitive lands as an alternative to food and fibre, linking our natural heritage across agricultural lands.
